Athletes in grades 3 through 8 are invited to the Trojan Football Camp on June 25 to June 27.  The camp will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Click below for a registration form and more information.

Congratulations to Scott H., and Tyler., for taking a spot in the top 15 slots in the Great American No-Bull Challenge for their video "Don't Lose Hope, Stand Up to the Bullying."(click here to see video) Over 200 teen produced videos were enterend into this contest. Tyler and Scott are invited to San Francisco for the Teen Video Awards Red Carpet Event on July 21th to celebrate the importance of standing up and making a difference.
A huge thanks goes out to all those who participated and made this video a reality.

Eighteen members of the Southeastern Chapter of the National Honor Society
attended the March of Dimes Walk for Babies on Saturday, May 12 at Clarence
J Brown Reservoir.  They raised $837 to help with the efforts of the
organization.

 



FCCLA Blood Drive Coordinators (order left to right) Kimmy T., Chelsea S., Carrie M., Dylan B.,
and Lucas T. are accepting a Plaque from  Judy Blankenship (center), representing the
Community Blood Center.   Southeastern HS had a total of 53 pints of blood
donated  from the two blood drives held during the 2011-2012 school year.
This is quite an accomplishment since the blood drives are held on a blood
mobile and the maximum number of appointments for each blood drive was 32.  
Southeastern will also honor 17 seniors who qualify to receive a red cord in
recognition of having registered to donate 3 times or more with the
Community Blood Center while still in high school.   Congratulations to all
students for supporting this life giving service project!

Market Goats: Minimum of 55 pounds, no maximum

Market Turkeys: Minimum of 25 pounds, no maximum

*Meat Chickens: Pen of 2 birds must total 10 to 18 pounds (average of 7 pounds per bird)

Market Ducks: Minimum of 5 pounds, no maximum

Market Rabbits (pen of 3 or single fryers): 3 to 5 pounds each

Market Lambs: 95 to 155 pounds

Market Hogs: 200 to 300 pounds

**Additionally: ALL animals must meet health requirements according to rules and be in good condition. Animals not in good health and meeting requirements will be sent home. This includes issues such as castration, umbilical hernias, dehorning and any infections, open wounds or contagious illnesses.

 

 

 

 

Paperwork required at weigh-in:

 

BSE Forms: All market beef, dairy, dairy feeders, sheep and goats

 

DUNF Forms: Market beef, lactating dairy cows, champion & reserve dairy feeders (after conclusion of  

                        show), market goats, market turkeys, ducks & chickens, market sheep and market swine

 

Health Papers: Dairy feeders, pollorum test papers for any non-market or fancy poultry, hogs born outside of

                          Ohio

 

NPIP papers: All market poultry (chickens, turkeys & ducks)

 

Breed Registration papers: all purebred breeding livestock to be shown in breed classes, unless otherwise

 noted in rules.

 

Scrapie tags/tattoos: All goats, all market lambs, ewes and wethers

 

 

All girls in grades 5 - 9 are invited to attend the Southeastern Volleyball Camp that runs from June 20-22.  5th - 7th grades will attend from 8:30 AM-11:30 AM and girls in 8th and 9th grade will attend form 8:30 AM-2:00 PM.

For three decades, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio (RMHC)
has been serving families with seriously ill children by providing a
home-away-from-home at the Columbus Ronald McDonald House.    Southeastern
FCCLA members will be delivering collected pop tabs and touring the Columbus
Ronald McDonald House on May 17th.    The community can help by donating
items needed for RMHC to the High School, by Wednesday, May 16th

Top Ten Needed items include:
white cotton hand towels, instant oatmeal, granola/cereal bars, pop  tarts, carry out Styrofoam containers, kitchen sponges, dryer sheets, 60 W light bulbs, and Non-latex medical gloves.

Other needs include gift cards (gasoline, Walmart, Kroger, Giant Eagle,
Target and/or Sam;s Club), pillow covers, Ziploc bags (quart and gallon
size), tall kitchen trash cans, small boxes of cereal, diapers, postage
stamps and Duracell AA batteries.
