Highlights of Northwestern vs SoutheasternIt is a cool fall night in South Charleston. As people drive into town, they see crowds of people walking towards Southeastern High School for the opening night of Friday Night Football. You could finally feel the adrenaline of many weeks of hard work rising in the air. It was finally time for the 2010 Trojan football team to make their debut at Trojan Stadium!!! People grabbed their pop and pizza, while walking up to take their seat and enjoy watching a hard-fought football game. It was on! Northwestern vs. Southeastern was here! In the first quarter P.J. completed an 18 yard pass to Caleb. Sam took a big hit for the team early when he was knocked out cold; yet, he came back and played the second half. Before the half Spencer kicked a 27 yard field goal to make it Southeastern 3 and Northwestern 6. In the 3rd quarter Preston caught a 60 yard pass from Banion, but the touchdown was nullified by a penalty. The game was on the line and the Trojans had to rally. In the 4th, Preston had two touchdown passes from Banion to get it close; however, it wouldn’t be enough and the Trojans would fall short of their first win. They played a hard fought game and are looking forward to week 2 against Fairbanks. |
