
The girls volleyball team enters the season with a new coach ready to return the volleyball team to the fall spotlight. For key senior hitters Libby Hudson and Kalie Entler this will be their third coach in four years. Other key returners include all around player Maddy McKee and setter Leah Ruby.
The team put in plenty of hard work over t
he summer, and greatly improved their team chemistry. "The best part about this upcoming season is the friendships on and off the court." Libby Hudson said.
Kalie Entler also eluded to the strong chemistry saying, "We have a close bond as a team that makes it fun on and off the court." When asked about the upcoming season, Entler said, "This team has a lot of potential. Our hitting is really strong this year. Coach Pollock is a really good coach. She encourages and really pushes us to do better."
The Trojans also picked up freshman Leslie Flores, who played club volleyball and will be looking to be make an immediate impact on the floor.
They are ready to harness this potential and have a great season. When asked about her expectations for the upcoming season, Libby Hudson said, "I wouldn't want my senior season to be with any other teammates or coaching staff. We are ready to do big things."
The Trojans have a great chance to win the OHC this year. But one team will make that very difficult, Catholic Central. Central is a team that plays with a fast tempo and has a good class of seniors this year. Make sure you watch the volleyball team this season. They are ready to make their move and leave a legacy at Southeastern.
