Attention all female athletes in grades 7-12 and parents.

Sportsmetrics is an injury prevention and performance enhancement program offered through Excel Sports Medicine in Springfield. We are excited to offer the following opportunity for every girl in grades 7-12 this summer to participate in this program being offered at Southeastern High School.

Sportsmetrics is a scientifically proven program designed to significantly reduce the risk of serious knee injuries in female athletes. Our seven week program will be led by our own Trisha Miller (Southeastern HS trainer) and will involve video analysis of each participant (test in and test out) providing athlete's knee control analysis during deceleration, acceleration, jumping, and landing.

The program consists of a daily combination of dynamic warm-up, plyometric/jump training, high intensity strength training, and flexibility training. There is a one-time cost of $40 for each athlete (check payable to: Southeastern Athletics). The program will run for 7 consecutive weeks, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, 2:30-4:00. We understand summer conflicts will be difficult for most athletes to attend every session. We will work to pace each athlete individually based on consistency of attendance.

Bottom line is each athlete will benefit from attending any portion of this program.

Please feel free to contact Trisha Miller (tmiller@sels.us) with questions and/or to register your daughter for the program. June 6 is our scheduled first day.

Thank you,
