A Letter From Superintendent, David Shea

Dear Southeastern Community,

For ten years, I have been serving as both Superintendent of the Southeastern Local School District and Principal of the Miami View Building. At the completion of the 2020/2021 school year I will be stepping away from my role as Miami View Building Principal. I will continue to serve the District in the role of Superintendent of Southeastern Local Schools.

It has been a pleasure to serve in the principal position and I have truly enjoyed being with the students and staff at Miami View. The Board of Education and I have agreed, at this time, that I should focus more energy and time toward the Superintendent role and the needs of the central office.

I am pleased to announce that Tim Bell, our current Director of Pupil Personnel, will take over the duties of Miami View Principal. Mr. Bell will relinquish his role of Director of Pupil Personnel to focus solely on being the building principal. Mr. Bell has been employed in the district for 25 years and has a proven track record of handling situations regarding special needs, distance learning, Title I and gifted education. The last four years I have worked side by side with Mr. Bell and I have total confidence in his ability to serve the district in this new capacity.
