A Letter From the Southeastern Board of Education

The Southeastern Local Board of Education would like to express their deep appreciation to all of the district’s students, staff, administration, parents and community members during this time of uncertainty. We have been very impressed with the diligence, flexibility and understanding demonstrated as these unusual circumstances continue to unfold.

Over the extended break we hope students are making steady progress with the work that was sent home or provided via online resources. During this very different period of life we appreciate the efforts our parents are putting forth at home. If there is one silver lining it may be that families can truly have some quality time together.

We encourage all students K through 12 to participate in the free breakfast and lunch program that our food service program has put together. In addition, we would like to thank Second Harvest Food Bank for providing the food for next week, during our scheduled Spring Break. Students and/or parents may pick up the entire week’s worth of food Monday, March 23rd from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the Miami View cafeteria.

As this situation evolves we will continue to update the community as quickly as we can. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times. We understand the inner strength and commitment exhibited each day by the members of our community are also reflected throughout the hallways of our schools. It is our true belief that as a united Trojan Community we will prevail.

In the end, we want everyone who is a part of our Southeastern family and community to be well. Our number one goal right now is that everyone in the community stays safe and healthy. We wish you all the best as we proceed ever so cautiously through the next days, weeks and months.

Thank you,

Southeastern Local School Board Members
