Welcome to Southeastern Local School District. Our mission is to develop graduates who will be prepared to continue their education and to enter the workplace for the purpose of contributing to the benefit of themselves, their families, communities and society. Our mission is to develop lifelong learners who demonstrate exemplary character, strong leadership, academic growth, work ethic and communication skills in their communities. 

 

Our focus is to be a district that excels in achieving all “A’s” (Academics, Athletics, Agriculture and the Arts).  Our goal is to produce well-rounded students that are prepared for the challenges of the 21st Century. Southeastern Local Schools has experienced professionals dedicated to educating all students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Caring for the youth of South Charleston is a community-wide endeavor and we are extremely proud to be part of the process.  

 

Southeastern is pleased to be able to provide students with high level educational options. On top of the traditional courses, Southeastern offers other academic programs such as: Gateway (Jr High STEM Courses), Project Lead the Way (High School STEM Courses), Agricultural classes, Family and Consumer Science, Business Technology, Advanced Placement courses, Honors courses and College Credit Plus (CC+). Southeastern continues to move forward by equipping classrooms with Chromebooks, Smartboards, online resources and school-wide Wi-Fi to ensure our students have access to current technology.

 

Southeastern is proud that we are able to offer a variety of extra curricular activities. Along with our traditional sports we also have Wrestling and Bowling as varsity sports. Southeastern also offers band and choir plus extracurricular academic choices such as FFA, FCCLA, Power of the Pen and Quick Recall.  

 

The district also highly values the partnerships it has with organizations such as the Miami View PTA, Southeastern Athletic Boosters, Southeastern Band Boosters, Quarterback Club, FFA Boosters, DARE, Clark County Sheriff’s Department, South Charleston Police Department, South Charleston Village, Community Club, Madison Township Fire Department, Clark County ESC and Yamada North America, among others.

 

We continue to make progress toward educating our students for the ever-changing workforce while providing them with the necessary resources for future success. At the same time we will remain mindful of our heritage and the importance it has in our everyday lives. Lastly, everyone at Southeastern would like to thank our students, staff, parents and community members for their continued support. It truly takes a team to accomplish all of our goals.
