Southeastern FCCLA



Julie and Laney earned a silver medal for 'Life Event Planning' at the Ohio FCCLA Region 4 Conference held at Miami Valley Career Center.

Eighteen Southeastern Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members, and advisor Mrs. Michael Rivera, participated in the Ohio FCCLA Leadership Conference in Columbus, Ohio. Motivational speakers, competitions and awards highlighted the two day conference.
Heather Smith, Lane Highmiller, and Shelby Barnett were awarded trophies for their Power of One Portfolios and Interview. The students documented goal setting and achievement in the following 5 categories: Personal, Family, Leadership, Career, and Speak Out for FCCLA.
Isis Mescher, Aubrey Workman, and Brianna Brewer earned a bronze rating and top honors in Ohio for Junior Division Entrepreneurship. They developed a plan for a small business using Family & Consumer Sciences skills and sound business practices.
Lane Highmiller earned a silver medal for his Recycle/Redesign entry.
Makayla Spencer and Kyli McKinney earned silver medals for their Chapter Service Project Display.
A silver rating was earned by the chapter's Parliamentary Procedure team: Mason Demaree, Emily Lambert, Alyssa Lambert, Amy Stewart, Makayla Bobst, and Madison Newman.
FCCLA has over 160,000 members nationwide. Programs are planned and run by members with family as the central focus. Activities promote service learning and leadership.
